LumaArc Privacy Policy

This Privacy Policy explains how LumaArc (the "App", "we", "us") handles information when you use our mobile photo editing application. Please read it carefully. By using the App, you agree to the practices described in this policy.
1. Summary
- LumaArc is an on-device photo editor. Your photos and your edits are processed locally on your device.
- We do not require an account, and we do not collect, upload, or store your photos or personal data on our servers.
- Face detection and facial landmark analysis used by portrait retouching run entirely on your device.
- Filter packs, LUTs, and overlay assets may be downloaded on demand from content delivery network (CDN) servers. These downloads involve standard, technical network requests.
2. Information We Process
2.1 Photos and Images You Select
The App only accesses photos and images that you explicitly select through the system photo picker, your device's gallery, or files shared with the App from other applications. Imported images are processed locally in order to provide editing features. We do not transmit, upload, or copy your images to any server controlled by us.
2.2 Facial Feature Data (On-Device Only)
Portrait retouching features use on-device face detection and facial landmark analysis. This analysis runs locally using machine learning models installed with the App. The resulting data is used solely to provide the editing controls you request, is not biometric identification data, is never uploaded, and is discarded when the editing session ends.
2.3 Editing Projects and Settings
Editing parameters, layer and mask information, and app preferences are stored locally on your device so that you can undo, redo, and recover interrupted sessions. This data remains on your device until you delete it or uninstall the App.
2.4 Export Metadata Choices
When you export an image, you may choose whether to preserve camera metadata (EXIF) and GPS location information in the exported file. This choice is made by you at export time; the App does not read, transmit, or store this information for any other purpose.
2.5 Network Requests for Downloadable Assets
The App offers downloadable content such as filter style packs, LUT files, and overlay assets (sky, weather, light leaks, textures, and backgrounds). When you browse or download this content, the App contacts CDN servers. Like most web services, these servers may automatically record standard technical log data, such as your IP address, device type, and request time, for security and delivery purposes. We do not combine this log data with any other information to identify you.
3. Information We Do Not Collect
- No account registration, name, email address, or phone number is required to use the App.
- We do not collect your photos, edits, or facial analysis results.
- We do not collect precise location data.
- We do not serve advertising and do not use advertising trackers.
4. Device Permissions
- Photo library / media access: used only to let you select images for editing and to save exported results, at your direction.
- Network access: used only to download optional filter and overlay assets and their previews.
You can revoke media access at any time in your device settings; core app functionality that does not require new images will continue to work.
5. Data Retention and Deletion
Because your photos, edits, and settings are stored only on your device, you control their retention. Deleting images, clearing the App's data, or uninstalling the App removes locally stored information. We do not hold a copy of your content and therefore cannot delete it on your behalf beyond what is stored on your device.
6. Data Security
Processing of your images occurs locally on your device, which substantially reduces exposure of your content. Downloads of optional assets are performed over encrypted connections (HTTPS). No method of electronic storage or transmission is completely secure, but the App is designed so that your personal content never leaves your device.
7. Third-Party Services
The App uses CDN infrastructure to deliver downloadable filter and overlay assets. These providers process the technical request data described in Section 2.5 under their own privacy practices. The App does not integrate third-party analytics or advertising SDKs that transmit your personal data.
8. Children's Privacy
The App is not directed at children under 13 (or the equivalent minimum age in your jurisdiction). We do not knowingly collect personal information from children. Because the App does not collect personal data, no parental consent mechanism is required; however, parents and guardians remain responsible for their children's use of the device.
9. International Users
The App's core functionality runs on your device, so your personal content is not transferred internationally by us. Optional asset downloads may be served by CDN nodes located in various countries in order to provide fast delivery.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the effective date above and, where appropriate, provide notice within the App or on the App's store listing. Your continued use of the App after an update constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
